Psychotherapy for analytical minds that won’t power down.
You’re competent. Intelligent. Self-sufficient. People rely on you. But your mind keeps running. At work, that’s an advantage. At home, it can create distance. You replay conversations. You second-guess decisions. Life looks solid on paper, yet something feels unsettled. I work with thoughtful, high-performing professionals in Boulder who want therapy that is direct, grounded, and psychologically precise. Turn down mental noise. Think clearly. Connect better.
If this sounds familiar…
Your mind rarely shuts off
You replay conversations long after they happen
You struggle to shift out of work mode
The same arguments repeat with your partner
You’re successful but not fully settled
You’ve probably tried solving these problems with more thinking. But some problems require a different kind of attention.
Carolyn Stillman — a therapist who understands analytical thinking
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in data and analytics and earned a math degree. I still tend to think in systems. Many of the people I work with are highly capable professionals who are used to solving problems through intelligence and analysis. Those skills work well in most areas of life. But eventually some problems don’t respond to more thinking alone.
In therapy we slow down and look closely at patterns in behavior, relationships, and the way your mind and nervous system respond under pressure. We explore how thought, emotion, and physiology interact to shape your experience. Sessions are thoughtful, direct, and conversational. The goal is not simply insight, but a clearer understanding of how you operate and a shift in how you experience your life outside the room.
